CALS Analytics is a cloud-based business intelligence tool sold through three contract plans. Each plan is priced by user capacity and splits users into two roles: power users, who design and manage analytics, and end users, who view results. The Basic Plan covers the fewest users, the SMB Plan and Enterprise Plan cover more, differing in their power-user and end-user counts. All three plans include up to 100 gigabytes of storage. If you exceed that limit, you pay for additional storage based on actual usage. You pick the plan that matches your team size.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What is the difference between a power user and an end user for billing?
A power user designs and manages analytics, building dashboards, running ad hoc queries, and setting up data models. An end user views results and shared dashboards through the web interface. Each plan caps both counts separately, so you pick a plan matching how many of each role your team needs.
What happens if my data exceeds the 100 gigabytes included in my plan?
Each plan includes up to 100 gigabytes of storage. If you go past that limit, you pay for the extra storage based on actual usage. The overage is metered separately from your plan fee, so only the storage beyond the included amount adds cost.
Do I upgrade automatically if my team outgrows the user limits in my plan?
Each plan sets fixed caps on power users and end users. The plans do not scale automatically past those caps. To cover more users, you move to a plan with the user counts you need. The storage overage is the only part that adjusts based on actual usage.
