Diligent Community is sold through a contract, billed by units. You choose between two packages. The Essentials package covers a base set of board and meeting management capabilities. The standard Diligent Community package covers a wider scope of governance and meeting tools. Both scale by the number of units you buy, so your cost grows with the quantity you commit to. Pricing is not tied to hourly or usage-based metering. Instead, you select the package that fits your organization and set the unit quantity under a contract term.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What differs between the Essentials package and the standard Diligent Community package?
The Essentials package covers a base set of board and meeting management tools. The standard package adds a wider scope of governance features, which may include the public transparency website, policy publishing, livestreaming, and committee management for multiple boards. Confirm the exact included capabilities with the vendor for each package.
What does one unit represent for billing purposes?
Both packages bill by units under a contract. The listing labels the metric as "Units" without defining whether a unit maps to a user, a board, or a committee seat. Your cost grows with the quantity of units you commit to. Confirm what a single unit covers with the vendor before purchase.
Is Diligent Community billed on usage or a fixed commitment?
It uses a contract model, not hourly or usage-based metering. You pick one package and set a unit quantity for the contract term. Your cost is fixed to the units you commit to, rather than fluctuating with actual meeting activity or document volume during the term.
