European Unified ID (EUID) is an open-source identity solution built for the open internet. EUID leverages encrypted email and phone number data to provide a privacy-conscious, secure, and accurate identity standard for the entire digital advertising ecosystem.
Built as an open-source, standalone solution with its own unique namespace, the EUID framework enables deterministic identifiers and and offers user transparency and privacy controls.
There are two types of EUID identifiers: raw EUIDs and EUID tokens. The EUID identifier enables monetization of logged-in experiences from publisher websites, mobile apps, and CTV apps through programmatic workflows. Benefitting from several layers of security and privacy measures, EUIDs are safely distributed across the open internet. EUID is a non-proprietary standard, and is accessible to constituents across the advertising ecosystem including Advertisers, Publishers, DSPs, SSPs, SSOs, CDPs, CMPs, Identity Providers, Data Providers, and Measurement Providers.
This product creates a deployment of the EUID Operator that generates and manages raw EUIDs and EUID tokens for EUID participants. The product operates entirely within an AWS Nitro Enclave and manages EUID token updates, including handling opt outs and encryption rotation.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
This product is free to use; you pay only for the AWS EC2 infrastructure that runs it. Pricing is billed by the hour and organized by EC2 instance type. You choose from several instance families and sizes, spanning general-purpose (m5, m5a, m5n, m6i) and memory-optimized (r6i, r7i) options in xlarge, 2xlarge, and 4xlarge configurations. Larger sizes provide more compute and memory at a higher hourly rate. The default recommended instance is m5.2xlarge. Select the instance type that matches your capacity needs; each runs the same operator service.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for the hourly charge if the software itself is free?
The software is free. The hourly rate covers the AWS EC2 instance that runs the operator service. You subscribe to receive a machine image with the operator installed. Each running instance-hour of your chosen instance type drives the cost you see, not the software license.
Am I charged when my operator instances are stopped or scaled down?
Hourly charges apply while instances run. Deployment uses an auto-scaling group that starts with one instance by default. Reducing the desired instance count lowers running hours. Stopped instances stop hourly software-related charges, though underlying AWS storage or other resources may still apply.
How do I choose between the general-purpose and memory-optimized instance types?
All instance types run the same operator service. General-purpose families (m5, m5a, m5n, m6i) balance compute and memory. Memory-optimized families (r6i, r7i) offer more memory per core. Larger sizes cost more per hour. The guide recommends m5.2xlarge as the default if you have no specific capacity need.

Deploys the EUID AMI, a secret manager to store the API key, and places the ECS in a Autoscaling Group.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
Access the application via a browser at http(s)://<public_dns>. To connect to the operating system, use SSH and the username ec2-user. All application controls are available via the command line by typing "commands /help".
Please note:
This product requires an internet connection to deploy properly. Packages with security updates available will be updated during deployment.
An IAM role named "WorkerRole" is created and is designed to be assumed by Operator EC2 instances. This role grants permissions for interacting with the Key Management Service and Secrets Manager resources that are deployed by the CloudFormation Template for storing and retrieving application secrets. Additionally, the IAM role grants permissions to Operator EC2 instances to enable Cloudwatch monitoring capabilities.
