AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance type you run this self-hosted Nextcloud file storage and collaboration image on. Each dimension maps to one AWS instance type, so pricing scales with the compute size you pick. Smaller shared-core types cost less per hour, while large memory, compute, GPU, and bare-metal types cost more. You choose the instance that fits your workload, then run it as long as you need. There is no fixed term or upfront commitment; billing follows actual hours used.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly charge cover for a given instance type?
Each hourly rate maps to one running EC2 instance of the listed type. You pay for the software running on that instance size, billed by the hour. The rate reflects that instance's compute, memory, and hardware class. Running two instances bills two hourly rates in parallel.
Am I charged when I stop or pause the instance?
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software fees. Note that underlying AWS storage for your data volume may still bill separately, since this image keeps files in persistent storage. Restarting the instance resumes hourly software billing.
If I need more capacity, do I upgrade automatically or pick a bigger instance?
There is no automatic tier upgrade. You choose the instance type when you launch. To get more compute or memory, you stop the current instance and relaunch on a larger type. Your new hourly rate then matches that larger type. Billing follows whichever instance you actually run.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
