This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and maintenance by AskforCloud LLC.
AlmaLinux OS is an open-source, community-driven Linux operating system that fills the gap left by the discontinuation of the CentOS Linux stable release. AlmaLinux OS is a 1:1 binary compatible clone of RHEL guided and built by the community.
As a standalone, completely free OS, AlmaLinux OS. Ongoing development efforts are governed by the members of the community.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for AlmaLinux 9.5 with vendor support, delivered as a machine image you run on Amazon EC2. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, and your rate follows the instance you choose. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, GPU, and high-performance families, in sizes from nano up to metal and multi-terabyte instances. Larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates. You pay only for the hours each instance runs, with no upfront commitment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one hour that a single EC2 instance of that type runs. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type. You are billed per running instance, per hour. Running multiple instances of the same type multiplies the hourly charge by the count of active instances.
The software charge meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. You may still pay separate AWS charges for attached storage while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
You launch the machine image on whichever supported EC2 instance type you need. Your hourly rate follows that instance type's dimension. Switching to a larger or more specialized instance means a higher rate; switching to a smaller one lowers it. The change is manual, based on the instance you run.
