What other advice do I have?
When I encounter a backup or connectivity issue, I follow the symmetric troubleshooting process. First, I review the backup job logs and error messages to identify the root cause. Then I verify network connectivity between the backup server, client, and repository using tools such as ping, tracert, and telnet to confirm communication over the required ports. I also check DNS resolution, firewall rules, and whether the required backup services are running. After that, I verify that the backup repository has sufficient space and that the client proxy is reachable. If the issue involves authentication, I confirm that credentials and permissions are corrected after resolving the problem. I rerun the backup jobs, verify that they complete successfully, and document the issues and their resolution for future reference.
