Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. All 21 options bill the same software on burstable T2, T3, and T3a instance families. Within each family, sizes range from nano through 2xlarge, so pricing scales with the compute and memory you choose. Larger instances cost more per hour than smaller ones. The T2, T3, and T3a families differ in processor type and efficiency. You select the instance that fits your workload, and hourly charges apply only while it runs. No upfront commitment applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each option runs the Wiki software on a burstable EC2 instance you select. The instance family and size set the vCPU and memory. Sizes from nano to 2xlarge scale compute upward. You choose the fit for your traffic, and the software runs bundled with its libraries, database, and runtime.
Software charges apply per hour only while the instance runs. A stopped instance does not accrue hourly software fees. Underlying AWS storage costs for the volume may still apply while the instance is stopped. The software meters running time only.
You change cost by choosing a different instance size, not by combining dimensions. Each size bills at its own hourly rate. Moving from a smaller size to a larger one raises the per-hour charge. The change takes effect when you launch or switch to that instance.
