Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the Amazon EC2 instance type you run this security agent on. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, so there are no separate plans or tiers to choose. Pricing scales with the compute capacity you select. Smaller instances like t2 and t3 sizes carry lower hourly rates, while large, metal, and high-memory or GPU instances carry higher rates. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs, so cost tracks directly with usage and the instances you deploy.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly unit covers the software agent running on one EC2 instance of the matching type. You pay per instance-hour for that specific size. Running two instances of the same type bills two separate hourly rates. The instance type you launch determines which dimension applies.
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage or other AWS fees may still apply separately, but the agent meters running instance-hours only.
Cost tracks the instance type you run. Moving to a larger size switches you to that size's hourly rate. There is no upgrade fee or automatic tier jump. You simply launch the new type, and billing follows the hours that instance runs.
