The pre-built application created by RoviSys consists of headless on-premise Ignition data pumps pushing operational data up to Ignition Cloud Edition in the AWS cloud, where one or two HMI screens will provide basic data visualization for up to three machine assets. The solution also includes an edge device installed with Ignition Edge software, enabling edge-to-cloud scope. Think of it as a “starter kit” for cloud data visualization that sets up the customer for future expansion.
Overview
Ignition by Inductive Automation is a web-deployed industrial application development platform. Ignition Cloud Edition is offered on AWS Marketplace and many AWS customers are eager to leverage Ignition’s incredible potential for building applications such as HMI, SCADA, MES, IIoT, Digital Transformation, and more. However, these customers often don’t have quite the right resources to achieve quick wins in the cloud with Ignition. This can result in making customers reluctant to purchase Ignition, or not reaping the full benefits of Ignition after purchasing it.
We see an opportunity for a joint offering from Inductive Automation and RoviSys that enables AWS customers to get the fast results they’re looking for. RoviSys is an Ignition Premier Integrator, which is the highest level in the Inductive Automation Integrator Program. RoviSys brings a strong international presence, proven expertise in enterprise projects, and verified experience in automotive, data centers, energy, manufacturing, water/wastewater, and many other industries. The Ignition software provides connectivity, data acquisition and transport, asset modeling, application building, unlimited licensing, and one year of support in the form of unlimited phone and web support, upgrade protection, and other benefits. Through this joint offering, customers gain an out-of-the-box application that meets their immediate needs, the ability to build virtually any type of industrial application very quickly and affordably in Ignition, and the opportunity to leverage RoviSys’ integration and design services if they choose to expand their cloud infrastructure later.
Pricing for the Starter Kit: $40,000. Ignition Gateway licenses are not included, but would be required during project execution. RoviSys can assist customers in procuring those licenses.
