Am I charged the hourly software fee when the instance is stopped?
The software fee meters only the hours an instance runs. A stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage for the volume may still apply while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
How do the burstable t2/t3/t3a families differ from the m-series families for billing?
