This is a repackaged software wherein additional charges apply for extended support with a 24 hour response time.
HAProxy is a open source software that provides a high availability load balancer and reverse proxy for TCP and HTTP-based applications that spreads requests across multiple servers.
This Linux image provided is tailored for enterprise-level performance on AWS, containing an installation of HAProxy, the necessary packages to operate an SSH Server and permit user logins. The most recent security updates from the team are incorporated. Root login is deactivated, with only the default user granted access via SSH public key authentication.

You pay by the hour for HAProxy running on Rocky Linux 9, billed per Amazon EC2 instance you launch. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each rate maps to a specific ARM-based EC2 instance type and size. Larger instances with more compute, memory, or storage carry higher hourly rates than smaller sizes within the same family. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and the software charge applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure costs. Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly rate covers one running EC2 instance of the matching ARM-based type and size. You are billed per instance-hour. Running two instances of the same type doubles the software charge. Each instance is counted separately, and the rate follows the specific instance type you launch.
The software fee meters running time. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You resume charges when you start it again. Note that stopped instances may still incur standard AWS storage costs, which are separate from this software charge.
No. The hourly rate you see is the software charge for HAProxy on Rocky Linux 9. It applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure costs for the EC2 instance. Apollo also provides hardening and on-demand support with each supported virtual machine.
