Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for a preconfigured SFTP file transfer server on Ubuntu, with support from Elm Computing. Pricing is billed per hour of use, so you only pay while the instance runs. The seven options map to different ARM-based t4g instance sizes, from t4g.nano up to t4g.2xlarge. Each size offers different compute capacity, and the hourly rate scales with the size you choose. Pick the instance size that fits your workload; larger sizes carry higher hourly rates. There is no upfront commitment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension maps to an ARM-based t4g instance size, from t4g.nano through t4g.2xlarge. Larger sizes provide more CPU and memory. The SFTP server and Ubuntu setup are the same across all sizes. You pick the size based on how many transfers and users you expect to handle.
Software charges accrue per hour only while the instance runs. When you stop the instance, the hourly software charge stops. You do not pay the software fee for idle or powered-off time. Note that underlying AWS storage for the stopped instance may still incur separate AWS charges.
The hourly rate covers a preconfigured SFTP file transfer server on Ubuntu, packaged from open source software, plus support from Elm Computing. Support is available through documentation and direct email. The rate does not include separate AWS infrastructure charges for the instance.
