Overview
What WebPulse does
WebPulse gives AI agents two capabilities for working with web content.
- POST /extract with {"url": "https://example.com"} returns the page title, a cleaned content string (no navigation, ads or boilerplate), the page description, and the content length in characters. A second call returns the cached version at no charge.
- POST /search with {"query": "...", "num": 5} returns up to 10 ranked web results with title, URL and snippet. The search uses DuckDuckGo, which requires no API key and has no rate limit.
Three ways to connect
- REST with an X-API-Key header, described by an OpenAPI 3 schema (https://webpulse.waltsoft.net/openapi.json ).
- MCP: two tools (webpulse___extractContent and webpulse___searchWeb) on the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway.
- A2A (Agent2Agent 0.3): the agent card at https://webpulse.waltsoft.net/.well-known/agent-card.json with skills extractContent and searchWeb.
Who it is for
AI agents that need to read a web page or find current information without managing a browser or scraper, research pipelines that need structured web content, and any workflow that queries or reads the web.
Billing
You pay per successful call on your AWS bill. Errors (400, 401, 503) are never billed. Cached extraction responses are not billed.
Highlights
- Web content extraction in one call: POST a URL and receive the page title, cleaned text (no ads or nav), description and content length as structured JSON
- Web search without a search API key: POST a query to /search and receive up to 10 ranked results with title, URL and snippet from DuckDuckGo
- Agent-ready: REST with an OpenAPI 3 schema, MCP tools on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway and an A2A agent card; pay only for successful calls
