This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for patching the operating system and the maintenance provided by Kurian.
A repository manager in a CI/CD pipeline stores a wide variety of artifacts that are needed for both build and deployment. It serves as a hub for storing and sharing both third-party libraries and internally built libraries and applications, that are used for build and deployment. Nexus Repository Manager is one of the most popular applications that addresses this requirement 100% and more. It supports all types of artifacts from raw files through Linux repository specific artifacts like rpm and also Docker images.
Kurian has released pre-configured software applications such as Wordpress, Jenkins, databases, LAMP stack, Ansible, DevOps tools, and monitoring applications that are widely used by system administrators and DevOps engineers. For selected Linux distributions hardened images based on CIS benchmark are also available. The Kurian AMIs are built following official installation steps so you do not need to learn any custom procedures if additional configurations need to be done.

You pay nothing for the software itself. This listing is free, so the only cost is the AWS EC2 infrastructure you run it on. Each dimension is an EC2 instance type, billed hourly. The instance types differ by compute, memory, storage, and specialized hardware such as GPUs. You pick one that fits your workload size, and pricing scales with the resources that instance provides. Larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates. Software support from the vendor is included with your chosen deployment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does each hourly instance dimension actually give me for running Nexus Repository Manager?
Each dimension is an AWS EC2 instance type running the software from a machine image. When you launch a node, Nexus Repository Manager starts on port 8081 over HTTP. You pick the instance based on compute, memory, storage, or GPU needs. The hourly rate covers that instance's resources, and vendor support is included.
Am I charged when the EC2 instance is stopped or powered off?
The software itself is free, so no software charges apply. Hourly billing tracks the running EC2 instance. A stopped instance stops accruing compute charges, but attached storage may still incur AWS storage fees. You are billed for running time, not idle time.
Does my hourly rate change if I resize to a different EC2 instance type?
Yes. Each instance type carries its own hourly rate tied to its compute, memory, storage, and specialized hardware. If you switch to a larger or more specialized type, the new hourly rate applies going forward. You choose the type at launch and pay that type's rate while it runs.
