Am I charged when I stop or pause my instance?
The software charge meters running hours only. When you fully stop an instance, no hourly software charge accrues for that time. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from the per-hour software rate shown in the table.
