FireWatch is a wildfire detection, prediction and monitoring API, that integrates live satellite analysis with environmental and weather data. Delivering near real-time intelligence FireWatch supports faster, smarter decisions to mitigate risks, protect communities, and reduce financial impacts.
FireWatch is a next-generation wildfire risk intelligence, detection and monitoring service. Accessible via API it combines Earth Observation feeds from NASA's MODIS and VIIRS satellites, weather forecasting, environmental data and historical wildfire records into a single, high-speed solution.
Near real-time updates enable accurate wildfire prediction, detection, tracking, and damage assessment, empowering insurers, emergency responders, supply chain managers, and policymakers to act decisively, mitigating risk and reducing financial loss.
FireWatch pinpoints wildfire locations across Southern Europe and California. The FireWatch service is updated twice daily and is deployed as a REST API that is designed to be queried programmatically. Non-developers also have access to the FireWatch API using the Query Page.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing uses a single pricing dimension based on your data allowance. You commit to a contract that includes 10GB of GeoJSON data. GeoJSON is a format for storing geographic features, so your subscription covers the wildfire intelligence delivered as spatial data. Pricing scales by the volume of data you consume against this allowance rather than by users or instances. FireWatch reaches you through an API or dashboard, so this one allowance governs the fire perimeter, risk, and monitoring data you draw down during the term.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts against my 10GB GeoJSON data allowance?
GeoJSON is a format that stores geographic features as spatial data. Each fire perimeter, risk layer, and monitoring output you draw down through the API or dashboard consumes part of your allowance. The 10GB caps the total spatial data volume delivered to you during the contract term.
Does the data allowance limit how often I can pull updates?
The allowance is based on total data volume, not update frequency. FireWatch refreshes intelligence up to four times daily. Frequent pulls of fire perimeter and risk data use more of your 10GB. Larger or more detailed spatial outputs consume the allowance faster than smaller ones.
Does the number of users or dashboards affect what I pay?
No. Pricing is driven by the volume of GeoJSON data you consume, not by user count, seats, or the number of dashboards. Your single 10GB allowance covers all data drawn down during the term, regardless of how many people access the platform.
