IT-Conductor for SAP Monitoring, Management, Automation and Optimization

What do you like best about the product?

We've been using IT-Conductor for SAP APM and automating SAP Basis tasks like managing transports and system refreshes. For years, the platform helped us keep our systems stable while cutting down on manual work. It's a game changer! What really stood out to me was how flexible and innovative the platform is, especially with the continuous improvements and new features being rolled out.

Also, since IT-Conductor is cloud-based, we didn't have to invest in extra infrastructure, which would've been necessary with other monitoring tools. That’s been a huge cost savings for us, especially since we’ve been using the platform for several years now.

Lastly, one of the many things I liked best about IT-Conductor is how efficiently it handles change management. This is crucial for SAP Basis administrators. IT-Conductor takes care of the heavy lifting through automation, allowing us to focus more on high-value initiatives.

What do you dislike about the product?

None. It just takes a bit of time to get used to, especially if your team is new to automation tools. But thanks to the helpful and responsive support team, we were onboarded pretty quickly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Manually handling SAP Basis tasks like transport management and system refreshes used to take up a lot of our time. IT-Conductor solves this by automating those processes, which has improved system stability and freed up our team to focus on more strategic work.

What do you like best about the product?

Linh and the guys are extremely knowledgable, quick to help and keen to provide more insights towards making our systems more stabile, reliable etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gives us quick and practical alerts around system stability, availablilty etc. And whenever we do have an issue, they bring great knowledge and experience to bear to help us fix the problem quickly and thoroughly.

What do you like best about the product?

IT-Conductor operated on a secured proxy server behind a customized firewall that can be defined by us. It actively retrieves a set of instructions for carrying out monitoring & automation of our Azure workloads. It also follows brilliant RBAC which dedicates access to objects based on their class, operation type and object values. This offers extensive granular control over all the available functionalities while performing operations in our Azure regions.

What do you dislike about the product?

Since IT-Conductor uses proxy and does not access our monitored system directly, we need to ensure that we stop the gateway so that it will block their access completely. These monitored systems are configured using IT-Conductor agent and so there is no direct user login approach. This can get tedious & complex at times as we work with multiple Tenants to govern our project requirements.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

All our multi-tenant data structures are safely stored in a relational database management system offered by IT-Conductor. To enhance the security further, we define our application security layer to access customer data. It follows sequential tree schematics for our hierarchical data which is easy to navigate, perform comparisons and comprehend our performance metrics in the Azure platform. Drilldown is convenient with this approach and it can effectively monitor the availability of all user-defines services along with infrastructure components that supports our Azure Tenants.

Automation capabilities with this platform are robust, and have already replaced many manual tasks for the customers we have implemented the solution for.

What do you dislike about the product?

Nothing was to dislike about the platform. It takes a little time for familiarization, but that is to be expected.

What do you like best about the product?

There's a wide range of customizations available. The team behind the tool know the pain points of SAP Administration, and are on a continuous journey of pushing out features that are meaningful to those who use it. Minimizing noise from the logs is a great help to focus on things that matter.

What do you dislike about the product?

It takes some time and practice to learn how to unleash the full potential of the tool. But the great thing is that its tailor-made at the start so you can hit the ground running, right after onboarding.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Have worked with them on a bespoke system refresh project. Every company has their own way of performing refreshes, and IT Conductor has managed to tick all the boxes needed that's specific to a customer. Identifying redundant tasks and automating them has been key to reducing the time and effort spent to finish a system refresh. This allows any company to increase the frequency of refreshes and refresh several systems almost simultaneously because of the quick turnaround.
