My main use case for HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) is that we've been using Azure, and we recently switched to HashiCorp because of the service and ease of ticketing systems.
A specific example of how I'm using HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) in my day-to-day work is that we usually handle computers, so we are able to visualize it with the dashboards on the cloud.
What is most valuable?
The best features HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) offers are probably the ease of usability, the observability, and the transparency.
When I mention observability and transparency, those features help me in my work by keeping everything in my view; I don't need to juggle between different platforms, as everything serves as a one unified solution. About transparency, things are crystal clear and laid out openly, making it much easier for consumers like us who manage tons of devices all in one unified platform.
HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) has positively impacted my organization by making the whole problem-solving process easier, as if there are any ticket issues, things get resolved more easily compared to our previous services.
Issues get resolved much more quickly now, with most of these solutions being almost readily available, and if escalated to a support team, we get a quicker response time, as opposed to the previous solution which involved a lot of back and forth and consumed a lot more time.
What needs improvement?
I am not entirely sure about how HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) could improve, as I don't have anything on top of my head at the moment.

I use HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) to ensure that the data is tokenized and the access authentication and authorization is managed through HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) to ensure that the right people have the right access to it.
There are no other ways I'm using it or benefits I've noticed beyond what I've mentioned.
What is most valuable?

What is our primary use case?
My main use case for HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) is that it serves as a password vault for privileged accounts. I use HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) mainly for privileged account management, utilizing HashiCorp Vaults to give appropriate users access to perform administrative functions.
We decide which users get access based on their roles, essentially on their job titles and the teams they work on. They are typically performing a lot of database administration work with HashiCorp Vault.
What is most valuable?
The best features HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) offers are the vaults and the ease of accessing the passwords within the vaults; I believe that is probably the most useful.
The ease of accessing passwords and using Vault has positively impacted my team's workflow and productivity, as it changes the way my team handles sensitive credentials. Due to data security audits that we have performed, this is a much more SOX compliant and regulation compliant method of managing passwords.
HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) has helped with SOX compliance and audits by providing a more secure way for auditors to track whether passwords are in line with company policy and properly protected, mainly as a result of security audits. This has led to measurable outcomes including reduced audit times.
What needs improvement?
I think HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) can be improved by creating a module for audit to make access to logs easier and to improve the auditability of who is accessing which vaults at which time and being able to generate that information in a report.

Has reduced credential management time and improved workflow efficiency through seamless integration
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) is that we used HashiCorp Consul and HashiCorp Vault. HashiCorp Vault helped us save our secured passwords for our DevOps platform, and we integrated it with our Puppet, which is a configuration management system, as well as our Linux system. All the passwords we secured using HashiCorp Vault, and also for the console, HashiCorp Consul, to integrate with our team channel platform.
A specific example of how I use HashiCorp Vault in my DevOps workflow is that we use it to template our credentials. In the pipeline, we have the templated flow, and in the continuous integration and deployment, HashiCorp Vault is used as a tool to retrieve the password. HashiCorp Consul serves as a front-end user case for our Slack team channel.
Regarding my main use case or other ways I have used HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP), I believe this covers the main one or two things. While working in the bank two years back, I brought HashiCorp products for the same use, and I also used HashiCorp products when I worked for another organization called Focus, which is a telecom company. I believe HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) could be useful for any organization with a DevOps environment, and HashiCorp Vault could be one of the secured ways to save your credentials.
What is most valuable?
The best features that HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) offers include its HashiCorp language, which is very easy to use, and you can do whatever the organization requires. For DevOps integration, HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) is very easy to integrate, and I found the learning curve not hard at all. There is a lot of online documentation and learning materials available, making it quite helpful. Additionally, HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) has two versions: one is professional, and another one is a free version online that you can use as open-source. There are also plenty of documentation and online forums where you can chat with specialists in HashiCorp products.
HashiCorp HCL language makes things easier for my team because it is very straightforward and any programmer can understand it. The syntax is easy, and there is a lot of documentation as well as learning materials available online that can be very useful.
HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) has positively impacted my organization, leading to a significant budget saving and allowing us to integrate everything the way we wanted. Those positive impacts include a definite plus in terms of security and easier integration. Regarding cost savings, it was a big win for us as the organization has saved a lot. We did not need to have another third-party product, which is often expensive in the market, and the templating of any credentials and passwords was easy to manage in one place.
What needs improvement?
I am not a specialized HashiCorp engineer, so I cannot make any comments on how HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP) can be improved. From a user perspective, I think all aspects are covered in HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP). The user interface is very good, support resources are available, and all documentation is really handy, so I do not see any improvements required.

Previously, we used KeePass as our solution to save credentials, which was merely an application where we mounted the database on our shared drive. It was not a secure way to save the credentials, hence the transition.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing was that it was easy. The pricing and setup were easy because it was very straightforward to understand.
What was our ROI?
We have seen a return on investment, specifically regarding money saved. Although I cannot comment on how much money was saved since I was not involved in the financial decisions, in terms of time, we saved a lot. Typically, the implementation time for other projects could stretch to six months, but we achieved everything within three months, marking a significant three-month savings in deploying a new big project.
What other advice do I have?
I would highly recommend HashiCorp Cloud Platform (HCP). The vendor can contact me if they have any questions or comments about my review. I found this interview really good, and I do not think any changes are needed for the future. I gave this review a rating of ten.
