AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for GitLab Premium running on your chosen Amazon EC2 instance type. The eight dimensions are not feature tiers — they are different EC2 instance sizes, so the price scales with the compute capacity you select. General-purpose instances (t2, t3, m5, m6i families) and compute-optimized instances (c5 family) are available in varying sizes. Larger instances handle heavier workloads and cost more per hour. You pick the instance that matches your team's performance and scale needs, and billing accrues based on running time.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged when my EC2 instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge accrues only while the instance runs. Stopped or paused instances do not incur GitLab Premium software charges. Note that underlying AWS storage tied to a stopped instance may still bill separately through AWS. The software licence meters running time only.
What do the eight instance-type dimensions actually represent for billing?
Each dimension is a different Amazon EC2 instance size, not a feature tier. You pick one instance type and pay its hourly rate. General-purpose families (t2, t3, m5, m6i) and the compute-optimized c5 family are offered in varying sizes. The rate reflects the compute capacity of the instance you select.
Can I run GitLab on my own runners instead of billed compute?
Yes. You can bring your own CI/CD runners with GitLab Premium. Execution on your own runners is unlimited and does not draw down compute minutes. The instance-hour charge here covers running GitLab Premium itself on the EC2 instance size you choose.

Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to have a shared project with versioning is really practical for computer projects carried out in groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, I find that we quickly become overloaded with information when managing requests, branches, etc. When we don't use it very intensively, we can quickly get lost and make mistakes that cost us a lot of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have real-time sharing of multiple files for a project. Versioning allows you to always revert to a stable and functional version if necessary.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to set up and use, making team collaboration efficient and beginner‑friendly. It integrates well with all my applications, has great support, and I really enjoy using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing models could be more competitive. Only a limited number of users can obtain developer access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It basically makes collaboration and teamwork efficient across various development roles, especially in software development.
As an AI developer, I find it makes a lot of sense to use it when working with several teammates on a single project because you don’t have to make changes simultaneously.
Thus, merging and forking are very easy. With the AI capabilities that GakeLab has developed, it also helps resolve issues much more quickly.
