You pay by the hour for MongoDB running on Windows Server 2025, billed only while the instance runs. Pricing is organized by AWS EC2 instance size, not by software tiers. The twelve options map to different compute families: general-purpose (t3 and m5/m6i sizes), compute-optimized (c5 sizes), and memory-optimized (r5 and r6i sizes). Within each family, larger sizes cost more per hour because they provide more CPU and memory. You pick the instance that fits your workload. There is no long-term commitment, and charges stop when the instance is not running.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of billing actually cover for a given instance size?
One hour covers the running EC2 instance you select, sized by its compute family. General-purpose t3, m5, and m6i sizes balance CPU and memory. Compute-optimized c5 sizes favor CPU. Memory-optimized r5 and r6i sizes provide more memory per core. You pay for the running instance, not per user or database.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped, such as overnight or during a pause?
Software charges apply only while the instance runs. When you stop the instance, the hourly software charge stops. There is no long-term commitment, so you subscribe only for the time the image runs. Note that underlying AWS storage tied to a stopped instance may still incur separate AWS fees.
Are MongoDB or Windows Server licenses included, or do I pay those separately?
Where a license is required, Cloudwrxs notes it in the product listing on the cloud provider's website. You do not pay Cloudwrxs directly; any payment is collected by the cloud provider. Check the listing details to confirm what the hourly charge covers for this specific image.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
