AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance size you run this masking software on. The eight options map to two instance families: t3 and m5. Within each family, pricing scales with instance size, from t3.medium up through t3.2xlarge, and from m5.large up through m5.4xlarge. Larger instances offer more compute for heavier masking workloads and cost more per hour. You choose the size that fits your data volume and processing speed needs. Billing runs on usage, so you pay only for the hours each instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do the t3 and m5 instance-hour charges pay for beyond the software itself?
You pay for the masking software running as a virtual appliance on that instance. The software bundles the operating system and its components. Each running instance-hour is metered. The instance size you pick sets the compute available for detecting and anonymizing data in databases, files, and free text.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
Software charges meter running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue hourly software charges. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply while the instance exists. To stop software billing, stop the instance you no longer need to run.
How do I decide between a t3 and an m5 instance for my workload?
The two families both run the same masking software. t3 instances suit lighter or intermittent processing. m5 instances give steady compute for heavier masking jobs. The software processes data in parallel, so larger instances can compress the time needed for high-volume masking runs. Pick the size matching your data volume.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
