Quick Start Service for DataMasque

This service delivers a defined, limited-scope implementation of DataMasque on AWS. It is designed to configure and execute data masking on a scoped set of applications or datasets, using the client’s own AWS environment and data. The outcome is a production grade footprint that supports compliance, reduces security risks, and establishes a foundation for expansion.

Scope:

Scope is agreed upfront. Work typically includes:

• High-level discovery using client documentation and targeted scanning to define sensitive data inventories within the selected applications or datasets.

• Designing reusable YAML rule sets leveraging DataMasque’s task_definitions, rule_definitions, and mask_definitions framework for modular, maintainable, and extensible masking logic.

• Configuring DataMasque jobs across supported databases on AWS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Db2, Sybase), and against structured file formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, Parquet, or fixed-width.

• Executing masking jobs to produce masked datasets ready for development, testing, and analytics in the client’s AWS environment.

• Documenting the configuration and providing targeted handover sessions for knowledge transfer.

Outcome:

A working production implementation of DataMasque on AWS that:

1. Provides demonstrable compliance alignment and audit readiness.
2. Reduces immediate security exposure by removing sensitive data from agreed non-production environments.
3. Enables practical use of DataMasque within the client’s AWS environment while transferring knowledge and practices that equip internal teams to extend adoption across the enterprise.
