What counts as one data product for billing purposes?
A data product is a published virtual view in the platform. Approved tools, applications, or users can access and query it directly, including through the Data Marketplace. Each tier caps how many you can have: 100 for Team Tier, 225 for High Availability, and 750 for Business Critical Tier.
How is the yearly data volume measured, and what does it include?
Data volume counts the total data the platform processes each year. This includes data returned to connected tools or applications from queries and API requests, plus data loaded into the platform cache. Units follow the decimal standard, where each step equals 1,000 of the prior unit.
Which usage metric drives my cost — data products or data volume?
Both metrics apply within each tier's included allowances. Data volume dominates for heavy query and API workloads moving large datasets. The count of queried data products matters more when you publish many governed views for broad self-service access. Your tier sets the ceiling for both.
