Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you choose to run this preconfigured Nextcloud appliance. The dimensions are not feature tiers. They are compute options that map to AWS instance families. General-purpose (m, t), compute-optimized (c), memory-optimized (r), and storage-optimized (i) families are all offered. Sizes range from nano and micro up to 2xlarge. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates because they provide more CPU, memory, or storage. The software itself is the same across every option; you select the instance that fits your workload and cost needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One hour covers a single running EC2 instance of the size you select. Billing meters the wall-clock time your instance stays running. The software and all preconfigured components are identical across sizes, so the hourly rate reflects the underlying compute, memory, and storage of the chosen instance family.
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing hourly rates. Note that stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, and stopping then restarting can change the public IP address unless you attach a static Elastic IP.
You are billed at the hourly rate of whichever instance size is running. Switching to a size with more CPU, memory, or storage moves you to that size's higher hourly rate. The change takes effect when you launch the new size. Smaller sizes carry their own lower rates.

Usage instructions
System initialization
After launch, browse to http://<Public_DNS>/ and complete the first-boot configuration, or connect by SSH using the key pair selected at launch.
Operating system access
Connect using SSH as the Linux user admin with the selected EC2 key pair. Run privileged commands with sudo; this provides full OS-level administration.
Application access
Open http://<Public_DNS>/ in a web browser. The application may redirect to HTTPS after configuration.
