Tinyproxy is a light-weight HTTP/HTTPS proxy daemon for AWS, maintained by Cloud Infrastructure Services. Designed from the ground up to be fast and yet small, it is an ideal solution for use cases such as embedded deployments where a full featured HTTP proxy is required, but the system resources for a larger proxy are unavailable. One of the key features of Tinyproxy is the buffering connection concept. In effect, Tinyproxy will buffer a high speed response from a server, and then relay it to a client at the highest speed the client will accept. This feature greatly reduces the problems with sluggishness on the Internet.

Highlights
Tiny proxy allows forwarding of HTTPS connections without modifying traffic in any way through the CONNECT method. Tinyproxy supports being configured as a transparent proxy, so that a proxy can be used without requiring any client-side configuration
You can also use it as a reverse proxy front-end to your websites. Great alternative to a Squid Proxy, Traefik Proxy, Nginx Proxy & Varnish.
If you're looking to build a custom web proxy, Tinyproxy is easy to modify to your custom needs. The source is straightforward, adhering to the KISS principle. As such, it can be used as a foundation for anything you may need a web proxy to do.

You pay by the hour for the software running on your chosen AWS EC2 instance. Pricing is not tiered by feature; the same TinyProxy software runs across every option. Instead, each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type, and your hourly rate depends on which instance you select. Options span many families and sizes, from small burstable instances like t3.nano and t2.micro to large compute, memory, storage, GPU, and bare-metal instances such as c6a.32xlarge, r6in.metal, and u-24tb1.metal. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates because they provide more CPU, memory, and resources. Choose the instance sized to your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for the hourly rate on each instance option?
You get the TinyProxy software running on one AWS EC2 instance of the type you pick. The instance type sets the CPU, memory, and resources available. TinyProxy is a light-weight HTTP/HTTPS proxy daemon. The same software runs on every option; only the underlying instance resources change.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
Software charges meter running time by the hour. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes. To stop all software charges, stop or terminate the instance.
Does my bill change if I switch to a larger instance type?
Yes. Your hourly rate is tied to the single instance type you run. Moving to an instance with more CPU, memory, or storage raises the hourly rate. Moving to a smaller instance lowers it. You pay the rate for whichever instance is running at the time.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
