RUBICONSmartCity (TM) helps city governments run waste and recycling operations faster, smarter, and more effectively. Through our patented technology, our smartphone app tracks metrics such as vehicle location, route completion and service confirmations in real time. It empowers drivers to document important information like blocked bins, contaminated recycling, and other issues. All of this information is fed directly back to a secure website for supervisors and dispatchers to evaluate and assess issues in real time. The features include:
-Service Confirmations (for all truck types, with exact time and location, without human interaction) -Vehicle Tracking (Automatic Vehicle Location AVL GPS) -Navigation (turn by turn directions to specific points, disposal facilities, and a return to route) -Driver Information (hours, miles driven) -Vehicle Information, Safety and Maintenance (including speeding and hard driving) -Real Time Route Management -Integration (RFID, CRM / 311, Cameras) -Waste Collection Route Issue / Incident Identification (including taking pictures, flagging locations, etc.) -Urban Data Collection (including air quality sensing, pothole detection, vacant home cataloging, etc.)

This contract covers waste and recycling service for 50,001 to 100,000 locations. You pay through two separate charges that combine into one contract. The first is a flat fee based on your number of service locations; you enter 1 to apply it. The second is a per-truck charge, where you enter the total number of trucks in your fleet. Together these scale your cost with both site count and fleet size. Both dimensions are billed under the contract term rather than by usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A service location is a physical site where waste and recycling service occurs. The flat fee covers your location count within the 50,001 to 100,000 band. A truck is each vehicle in your collection fleet. You enter the total truck count so the per-truck charge reflects your active fleet size.
Both charges bill independently and add together on one contract. The flat fee applies once based on your location band. The per-truck charge multiplies by the number of trucks you enter. Your total scales with fleet size, since the flat fee stays fixed across this location range while truck charges grow with each added vehicle.
You enter the total truck count when you set up the contract, and the per-truck charge is based on that figure. The location-based flat fee stays fixed as long as you remain within the 50,001 to 100,000 range. For truck count changes mid-term, contact the vendor.
