Pricing is based on a fixed subscription cost and actual usage of the product. You pay the same amount each billing period for access, plus an additional amount according to how much you consume. The fixed subscription cost is prorated, so you're only charged for the number of days you've been subscribed. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for Windows Server 2025 in Chinese (zh_HK), billed per running instance. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance size and family you launch. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and accelerated (GPU and inference) families, from small sizes up to large metal configurations. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware carry higher hourly rates. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and pricing scales with that choice. No upfront commitment applies to this usage-based model.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and am I charged when the instance is stopped?
Each dimension maps to one running EC2 instance of that instance type. You pay the software rate per hour while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply separately from this listing.
The display language shows as Chinese (zh_HK). Can I switch it to English, and does that affect pricing?
The AMI defaults to a Chinese display language. You can change it to English (United States) using a PowerShell user-data script during the first instance boot. This triggers one extra reboot, so startup takes slightly longer. Changing language does not affect your hourly rate, which stays tied to the instance type.
Why do rates differ so much across instance types, and how do I control my hourly cost?
Your rate depends on the instance type you launch. General-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and GPU or inference families carry different rates. Larger sizes with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware cost more per hour. You control cost by selecting the size and family that matches your workload.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Note: For all Avora Windows AMI products, the default login username is Administrator.
Remote Desktop Connection
What to expect
First boot time: the instance may take 5-10 minutes to finish initialization before RDP is available.
How to connect: use Windows Remote Desktop (mstsc) or another RDP client, open the .rdp file from the EC2 console, and sign in with the Administrator account and the decrypted password.
Security: ensure the instance security group allows RDP (TCP 3389) or use a secure bastion/jump host. Use the EC2 console to decrypt the initial Administrator password.
To change the OS language to English (en-US) at first boot, provide a PowerShell script as user data when launching the instance. This change triggers an additional system restart and increases initialization time.
Paste the script into the User data field when launching the instance in the EC2 console. Because the script restarts the machine, expect a longer first-boot time.
