"# Connecting to Asana's MCP Server
The Asana MCP server is available at:
<https://mcp.asana.com/sse>
This server requires authentication with your Asana account. When connecting, you will be prompted to authorize the application to access your Asana data.
🔒 Allowlist
Due to the implementation of an OAuth redirect URI allowlist, some third-party applications might require additional configuration or registration of their redirect URI with Asana Support before a successful connection can be established. If you’re a maintainer of an MCP client, see Integrating with Asana’s MCP Server for details on how to register.

If authentication fails, try logging out of your Asana account and logging back in.
If that does not address the issue or you see a ""Client not found"" error, try removing the Asana MCP integration within your client and adding it back. -

- A compatible MCP client (Claude.ai, Cursor, or any application that has implemented an MCP client)
- The app named "Asana MCP" is not blocked via Asana app management .
If you're not sure if the app is blocked, try to connect your MCP client to the server and go through the authorization flow. You'll either be able to authorize the app like normal or, if the app is currently blocked, be prompted to send a request for your admin to unblock the app for your domain.

It keeps all my tasks in one location so that I can easily see what is due and when.

Transitioning to it can be hard if you have used email and messenger among your team.

easy to learn, great hands on training provided. It's very easy to upload projects or use the templates included. Assigning to team members is extremely simple.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can stay organized with projects. As a company, using Asana has been very helpful for the whole team to know who is responsible for what. I also like that we can copy and paste templates, which makes it easier to get a project started. Another thing I appreciate is that we can add an unlimited amount of tasks and keep them organized under different tabs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels like the AI tool takes over a bit; it just inserts itself at random.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a company that feels more organized now, and assignments don’t get lost.

What do you like best about the product?
I mostly like the fact that Asana provides vision to everybody on the team. Everybody can see what everyone else is working on, and people know other people's capacity. This visibility and capacity insight helps make Asana valuable to the team because all people, all levels know what's being worked on for different projects. It helps us stay on task and think through things differently than we might if we were just writing things down.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel an After-Action Review section would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to stay on task and ensure we cover all project aspects. It provides team visibility, helping us understand everyone's workload and plan better for future tasks.
