This listing has one pricing dimension: Free MCP Server Units. You pay nothing to use it. The dimension is billed by units, but there is no charge attached. There are no tiers, instance sizes, or paid add-ons to choose from on AWS Marketplace. You get access to the MCP Server, which lets AI tools and connectors work with your Asana data. Because pricing is a single free option, there is nothing to scale up or configure for cost. You simply enable the server and use it at no cost.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one MCP Server Unit for billing purposes?
The dimension is measured in MCP Server Units, but each unit carries no charge. You are not billed based on how many units you consume. There is no metering that leads to a cost, so unit counting does not affect your invoice.
What does the MCP Server actually do once I enable it?
The MCP Server lets AI tools and connectors access your Asana data through a standard interface. It supports AI agents and connectors that create, update, and retrieve tasks and project information. You enable it and connect compatible AI tools to work with your workspace.
Will my cost change as I add more AI tools or increase usage?
No. This listing has a single free dimension with no usage-based charges. Adding more connected AI tools or increasing activity does not create a charge on AWS Marketplace. There are no thresholds, tiers, or overage points that trigger a cost.

"# Connecting to Asana's MCP Server
The Asana MCP server is available at:
<https://mcp.asana.com/sse>
This server requires authentication with your Asana account. When connecting, you will be prompted to authorize the application to access your Asana data.
🔒 Allowlist
Due to the implementation of an OAuth redirect URI allowlist, some third-party applications might require additional configuration or registration of their redirect URI with Asana Support before a successful connection can be established. If you’re a maintainer of an MCP client, see Integrating with Asana’s MCP Server for details on how to register.
Available tools
Asana’s MCP server includes 30+ tools for:
Project tracking and status updates
Task creation and management
User information
Getting updates on Goals
Team organization
Quick Asana object searching via typeahead
Troubleshooting
If authentication fails, try logging out of your Asana account and logging back in.
If that does not address the issue or you see a ""Client not found"" error, try removing the Asana MCP integration within your client and adding it back.
Ensure your MCP client supports SSE-based servers (not Streamable HTTP)
If you’re still not able to connect or are seeing an invalid_redirect_uri error,
reach out to the maintainer of the tool you're using or see Integrating with Asana’s MCP Server
Check that your client can handle OAuth authentication flows
Verify you have the necessary permissions in your Asana workspace

Maintaining projects and being able to break them down into digestible steps is extremely helpful. The tools that Asana offers within the product are extremely helpful to keeping work moving and my team informed
What do you dislike about the product?
I think this is more on me, but when changes are made, I wish there were training or a recap. There actually might be, via the academy, but I have not participated in or seen those previously.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a fully remote company and moving projects async has been amazing! It cuts our meeting time and with a simple voice memo we can have team members review projects and start work without having to have a 30 minute call or meeting

I really value Asana's intuitive interface that balances its powerful features, making it easy to organize and manage tasks across multiple workstreams. What do you like best about the product?
Creating easy flow for project intakes and moving things between teams. Keeps projects on track and people accountable
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing else comes to mind. That said, the templates could be easier to find and access. Also, the AI tokens should only be used once per view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with work integration across teams, especially on very complex projects.

Asana's task comments mean you never have to hunt for work description or progress
Reviewed on Aug 12, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The clever multi-homing and task attributes that allow all the work to live there and be indexed and easily retrievable
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about Asana. Sometimes I feel that it was built for larger teams than mine, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana solves the issue where people at work message me through various channels asking for work and giving me directions and then I have to figure out where these are located when I'm ready to do the work. Now all that communication is done in the Asana task description and comments, and is visible to anyone else who might want to see how other teams are progressing.
