This listing has one pricing dimension: Free MCP Server Units. You pay nothing to use it. The dimension is billed by units, but there is no charge attached. There are no tiers, instance sizes, or paid add-ons to choose from on AWS Marketplace. You get access to the MCP Server, which lets AI tools and connectors work with your Asana data. Because pricing is a single free option, there is nothing to scale up or configure for cost. You simply enable the server and use it at no cost.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one MCP Server Unit for billing purposes?
The dimension is measured in MCP Server Units, but each unit carries no charge. You are not billed based on how many units you consume. There is no metering that leads to a cost, so unit counting does not affect your invoice.
What does the MCP Server actually do once I enable it?
The MCP Server lets AI tools and connectors access your Asana data through a standard interface. It supports AI agents and connectors that create, update, and retrieve tasks and project information. You enable it and connect compatible AI tools to work with your workspace.
Will my cost change as I add more AI tools or increase usage?
No. This listing has a single free dimension with no usage-based charges. Adding more connected AI tools or increasing activity does not create a charge on AWS Marketplace. There are no thresholds, tiers, or overage points that trigger a cost.

"# Connecting to Asana's MCP Server
The Asana MCP server is available at:
<https://mcp.asana.com/sse>
This server requires authentication with your Asana account. When connecting, you will be prompted to authorize the application to access your Asana data.
🔒 Allowlist
Due to the implementation of an OAuth redirect URI allowlist, some third-party applications might require additional configuration or registration of their redirect URI with Asana Support before a successful connection can be established. If you’re a maintainer of an MCP client, see Integrating with Asana’s MCP Server for details on how to register.
Available tools
Asana’s MCP server includes 30+ tools for:
Project tracking and status updates
Task creation and management
User information
Getting updates on Goals
Team organization
Quick Asana object searching via typeahead
Troubleshooting
If authentication fails, try logging out of your Asana account and logging back in.
If that does not address the issue or you see a ""Client not found"" error, try removing the Asana MCP integration within your client and adding it back.
Ensure your MCP client supports SSE-based servers (not Streamable HTTP)
If you’re still not able to connect or are seeing an invalid_redirect_uri error,
reach out to the maintainer of the tool you're using or see Integrating with Asana’s MCP Server
Check that your client can handle OAuth authentication flows
Verify you have the necessary permissions in your Asana workspace

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can track everything I need in one place. The reminders are amazing, too! The Claude intergration tool is an awesome new feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup sometimes can be a lot. The Claude add in does help with a lot of this if you know how to use claude.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping me keep track of internal reporting, grant requirements and allowing me to assign tasks to external clients and track that.

Streamlined Project Management, Great Visibility
Reviewed on Jul 31, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana for its simplicity and flexibility in managing projects and tasks. It gives a clear view of priorities, deadlines, and progress, making it easier to stay organized and collaborate with team members. I find features like task assignment, project timelines, and status updates really helpful in keeping everyone aligned and improving overall productivity. The initial setup was relatively easy and straightforward, and I appreciate the templates and intuitive interface that sped up the onboarding process. Using Asana alongside other tools helps centralize project tracking, improve visibility, and reduce the need to manage information across multiple places.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Asana could be improved is in handling very complex projects with a large number of tasks and dependencies. As projects grow, it can sometimes take extra effort to maintain organization and get a complete overview. Some advanced features may also require time to learn, and additional customization options or more intuitive reporting features would make the experience even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to manage projects, organize tasks, and track team workflows, helping keep communication and updates organized in one place. It solves the challenge of scattered tasks and deadlines, providing a central place to monitor progress and improve visibility, reducing confusion and ensuring efficiency.

Intuitive UI, Strong Collaboration, and Handy Slack Integration
Reviewed on Jul 29, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
I like the UI/UX aspects of collaboration, custom template, and dependencies features. They help the team stay on the same project and give everyone visibility into the status (or lack thereof) of specific tasks or an overall vertical that we’re working on. Also integration with Slack is helpful because we can pull tasks directly from chats within our DMs or channels. With templates, we can also build in common elements across projects that share the same known tasks, so we don’t miss repeatable steps on specific projects. Being able to analyze common points between tasks ahead of time would make it easier to streamline how we create those templates. And if we already had pre-built dependencies, we could use them as a starting point for suggesting due dates, whether we’re planning forward or working backward from a set deadline.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think what is unfortunate, is the lack of ability to custom assign roles. To have all the members we want to have on Asana it's much higher overhead than what's worth spending at this time, however, if there were tiered roles that we could assign and one person (for instance) would have a basic "view" seat at $5/mo but another who's Admin was at a higher $30/mo, with a middle ground of "regular user" being at $15/mo that would allow more of the team to be on the platform, without necessarily having the ability (or need) to utilize the platform to it's full capacity, while also having the company analyze the performance of who actually needs an Admin seat. Also, interchanging those roles would be helpful for onboarding purposes; for instance if a new member joins, and we want to have visibility into a project without them actually being able to mark something as complete - but rather just a backseat watcher, they could have a view only seat so they could track how the status of a task or project goes along the way and when the team is ready they could be moved into a different tier role at a higher price paid seat.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Honestly, prior to utilizing Asana, there was no way of tracking tasks and projects. The KPIs were essentially non visible in the sense of being able to track/prove performance of a team member or overall department. Being able to utilize project tracking status allows us to see how far along each vertical is OR how long a project has to be complete.

AI-Powered Reporting and Seamless Integrations Keep Our Team on Track
Reviewed on Jul 29, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana can use AI to create reports about previous work as well as upcoming weekly tasks. The integration with Google Calendar and Slack helps keep my team on track and improves communication. The support resources and training available have also been very helpful in ensuring we’re using Asana to its fullest potential.
Asana’s performance has been excellent, especially in how smoothly it integrates with other systems. It works well for managing different teams and keeping projects organized while still allowing them to remain separate, which fits the way my team operates.
My favorite part is the interface. I can customize my front page to show exactly what I want to see, including the tasks I have for the week. I can also add quick notes, which is really helpful.
One area for improvement is pricing. I understand that costs increase as organizations grow, but as a nonprofit, it would be beneficial to have more affordable pricing options specifically designed for nonprofit organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost that you have to pay for a different version for goals
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest problems Asana solves is making it easier to work across teams. Instead of relying on emails or multiple spreadsheets, everyone can collaborate in one place, track project progress, assign tasks, and communicate effectively. This has improved teamwork, increased accountability, and made it easier to stay aligned on deadlines and priorities. As a result, my team works more efficiently, and projects are completed with better organization and visibility across departments.
