"# Connecting to Asana's MCP Server
The Asana MCP server is available at:
<https://mcp.asana.com/sse>
This server requires authentication with your Asana account. When connecting, you will be prompted to authorize the application to access your Asana data.
🔒 Allowlist
Due to the implementation of an OAuth redirect URI allowlist, some third-party applications might require additional configuration or registration of their redirect URI with Asana Support before a successful connection can be established. If you’re a maintainer of an MCP client, see Integrating with Asana’s MCP Server for details on how to register.

- A compatible MCP client (Claude.ai, Cursor, or any application that has implemented an MCP client)
- The app named "Asana MCP" is not blocked via Asana app management .
If you're not sure if the app is blocked, try to connect your MCP client to the server and go through the authorization flow. You'll either be able to authorize the app like normal or, if the app is currently blocked, be prompted to send a request for your admin to unblock the app for your domain.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease to use project management tool - it's intuitive and make collaboration easy
What do you dislike about the product?
We were trying to look for an time-tracking tool and budget management system, but Asana is not set up for those very well even with their add-ons. They are highly risk prone for error. I would love if it could bridge that gap more successfully

The interface is simple enough to learn quickly, and focused on the key features that everyone on the team can use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful to have more automations available in all versions, for example to be able to automate moving tasks into different sections. This keeps me from using it as efficiently as I would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basic communication on deadlines across multiple projects and teams in our organization. Keeping track of what everyone else has on their plate is extremely helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s quick and simple to set up and implement. I’ve found many of the tools easy to use and intuitive. Customer support has been fantastic, and working with my agent has helped me launch Asana successfully.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functions, such as the portfolio dashboards, are challenging to set up the way I would like. Also, certain functionality that I’m used to from my previous platform isn’t available here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s giving me better top-level visibility across projects, and also across our freelancers. I can quickly see the high-level data, while still being able to drill down into the details when I need to.
