Overview
PrestaShop is an open source ecommerce platform for building online stores. It includes a product catalogue, cart and checkout, payment and shipping options, taxes, promotions and customer accounts, and a large marketplace of modules and themes. This image gives shop owners and agencies a working PrestaShop store in minutes, with no installer to run and no database to create.
What is included: PrestaShop 8.2.8 on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, Apache with PHP, MySQL 8.0, phpMyAdmin for database administration and Webmin 2.660 for server administration. The store address follows the instance's public IP automatically until you set your own domain. Security is on by default: no password ships in the image. On first boot every instance sets its own back-office, MySQL root and Webmin passwords, new PrestaShop security keys and a new phpMyAdmin secret, MySQL listens only on the server itself, and SSH accepts key-based login only.
What you get on top of the free software: a pre-built and tested image that is ready in minutes, a unique security setup for every server, simple scripts for changing passwords, regular image updates, and help by email whenever you need it. PrestaShop is open source software licensed under OSL-3.0. PrestaShop is a trademark of PrestaShop SA. This image is an independent build by ProvenCloud.

Usage instructions
Once the instance is running, enter http://<instance-public-ip> into your browser to see your store. The back office is at http://<instance-public-ip>/admin-dev; sign in with admin@example.com as the email and your instance ID as the password. phpMyAdmin is at http://<instance-public-ip>/phpmyadmin; sign in with root as the username and your instance ID as the password. Webmin is on port 8000, so open http://<instance-public-ip>:8000 and sign in with admin as the username and your instance ID as the password. You can also connect over SSH with the username ubuntu and your Amazon key pair.
Required inbound ports: 22 (SSH), 80 (store, back office and phpMyAdmin) and 8000 (Webmin). For security, allow ports 22 and 8000 only from your own IP address.
Your instance ID is shown in the EC2 console, for example i-0123456789abcdef0. Every instance sets its own passwords on first boot, so no two instances share a password. Allow two to three minutes after launch for the first-boot setup to finish before you sign in.
After your first sign-in, change the back-office email and password, and rename the admin-dev folder as PrestaShop recommends. Change server passwords with sudo bash /home/ubuntu/iscripts/pass_prestashop.sh, pass_mysql.sh or pass_webmin.sh.
The image serves plain HTTP so it works on a bare IP address. Before using it in production, add your own domain and an SSL certificate, or place it behind a load balancer with HTTPS.
