Teradata Viewpoint (Multiple Systems) is an advanced web-based management portal for up to 10 Teradata Vantage and/or Teradata Database systems -- whether cloud or on-premises -- providing administrators and end users with insights into their analytic environment.
Viewpoint (Multiple Systems) makes managing and monitoring multiple Teradata systems from a single location simple and easy. Provides a web-based interface and configurable portlets to allow users to customize their own systems management dashboards.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the compute instance size you run. The four options are m5 instance sizes: xlarge, 2xlarge, 4xlarge, and 8xlarge. These sizes differ in CPU and memory capacity. Pricing scales with the size you choose, and larger instances cost more per hour. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs, so there is no upfront commitment. This do-it-yourself deployment lets you pick the size that fits your workload and adjust as your needs change.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each m5 size maps to an AWS EC2 instance with set CPU and memory. The xlarge is the smallest of the four, and 2xlarge, 4xlarge, and 8xlarge each add more CPU and memory. You choose one size, and that instance runs Teradata Viewpoint for monitoring multiple systems.
You pay the hourly software rate only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue Viewpoint hourly charges. Underlying AWS storage or other AWS resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, but the Viewpoint software meters running time only.
This is a do-it-yourself deployment, so you pick the m5 size that fits your workload. Because billing is hourly with no upfront commitment, you can move to a different size when your needs change. You then pay the hourly rate tied to whichever size you run at that time.

Use SSH and ec2-user to log in with provided .pem file.

Switch to a root shell with 'sudo su -'

Execute 'dsu-init' and follow on screen instructions.
DSU will finish initialization and start its services.
