Debian 11 Bullseye Server
Debian server "Bullseye" is suitable for many different use cases: from development servers to cluster systems; and for database, web and storage servers. At the same time, additional quality assurance efforts like automatic installation and upgrade tests for all packages in Debian's archive ensure that buster fulfills the high expectations that users have of a stable Debian release.
Debian is the seed and base for many other distributions. Many of the most popular Linux distributions, like Ubuntu, Knoppix, PureOS, SteamOS or Tails, choose Debian as a base for their software. Debian is providing all the tools so everyone can extend the software packages from the Debian archive with their own packages for their needs.
Debian 11 Bullseye ships with several desktop applications and environments. Among others it now includes the desktop environments GNOME 3.38, KDE Plasma 5.20, LXDE 11, LXQt 0.16, MATE 1.24, and Xfce 4.16.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for a Debian 11 Bullseye server preloaded with the AWS CLI and Python. Pricing is not fixed at one rate. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific Amazon EC2 instance type, billed per hour of use. The software rate follows the instance you choose. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, storage, or GPU resources carry different hourly rates than smaller ones. General purpose, compute, memory, storage, and accelerated compute families are all available. You match the instance size to your workload and pay only for hours the server runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension maps to one Amazon EC2 instance type, billed per hour that instance runs. One unit equals one running virtual machine of the selected size. Instance families differ by CPU, memory, storage, and GPU resources. You pick the instance that matches your workload and pay the matching hourly software rate.
The hourly software rate meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volume may still apply while the instance is stopped. Charges resume once you start the instance again.
The server ships with Debian 11 Bullseye plus the AWS CLI and Python already configured. Debian includes a large package library, UEFI Secure Boot support, and AppArmor enabled by default. This build is maintained by the vendor. The included software is the same regardless of which instance type you select.
