This listing carries no software charge. You pay only standard hourly EC2 costs for the instance you choose to run it on. The pricing dimensions are simply the many EC2 instance types available, each billed per hour. Your cost scales with instance size: smaller types like t2.micro run at lower hourly rates, while larger types such as metal and high-memory instances cost more per hour. You select one instance type based on your compute, memory, and storage needs. It is also AWS Free Tier eligible.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What am I paying for when the software charge is listed as free?
You pay no software fee for this listing. Your only cost is the standard hourly EC2 charge for whichever instance type you launch. That rate is set by AWS, not the vendor. Storage and data transfer for the instance follow standard AWS infrastructure pricing.
Am I charged when I stop or pause the EC2 instance?
There is no software charge either way, since the software is free. Stopped instances stop accruing hourly compute charges. You may still pay standard AWS storage fees for attached volumes while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start it again.
How is this product delivered, and what does one hourly unit represent?
It ships as an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) you launch as an EC2 instance. Each hourly unit maps to one running instance of the chosen type. Larger instance types carry more CPU, memory, and storage and bill at higher hourly rates. You pick one type for your workload.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
