Netcraft has disrupted more cybercrime than any other company on earth, detecting and taking down phishing sites, malware, brand impersonation, and fraud infrastructure automatically, typically within hours of a threat appearing. Our platform protects over 700 brands globally, combining 30 years of internet infrastructure intelligence with AI-powered detection across domains, social media, mobile apps, and the dark web. Where others alert you to threats, Netcraft eliminates them, giving your team back the time and confidence to focus on what matters.
Netcraft is a global leader in brand impersonation detection, disruption, and takedown solutions. The Digital Risk Protection (DRP) platform provides comprehensive, automated defence across the entire external threat landscape, protecting your brand with unmatched speed and accuracy. Unlike platforms that simply alert you to threats, Netcraft eliminates them, automatically, at scale, through the world's most trusted takedown network.
Founded in 1996, Netcraft brings nearly three decades of internet infrastructure expertise to every engagement, combining advanced AI, automation, and human insight to detect and disrupt cybercrime before it harms your customers or your reputation.
The Problem
Targeted primarily at businesses, financial institutions, technology companies, and government agencies, Netcraft's solutions cater to organisations that require robust online protection, particularly those who face the constant threat of brand impersonation, where malicious actors create lookalike domains or fraudulent profiles to deceive customers.
What Netcraft Detects & Disrupts
Netcraft's DRP platform identifies, classifies, and neutralises more than 100 different attack types, including:
Website Impersonation: lookalike domains, typosquats, and cloned sites designed to deceive customers
Phishing Attacks: credential harvesting pages targeting your customers across the surface, deep, and dark web
Fake Online Stores & Malicious Ads: counterfeit product listings and fraudulent paid ads exploiting your brand
Social Media Impersonation: fake accounts, executive impersonation, and unauthorised brand use across all major platforms
Rogue Mobile Apps: fraudulent applications in app stores imitating your products and services
Online Scams: investment scams, advance fee fraud, support scams, and recruitment fraud using your brand
Deep & Dark Web Threats: monitoring for data leaks, credential exposure, and criminal planning targeting your organisation
Phone Number & SMS Fraud: smishing campaigns and vishing infrastructure disrupted at source
How It Works
1. Intelligence Gathering
Netcraft's proprietary sources provide a global view of cybercrime activity. Combined with the network effect of reported abuse across the largest governments and providers in the world and a substantial anti-cybercrime reporting community, Netcraft ingests 23B+ proprietary datapoints annually.
2. AI-Powered Detection
Netcraft's digital risk protection services leverage extensive automation, advanced AI and machine learning, and more than 90,000 human-written rules to power its detection and analysis engine, processing the world's largest phishing dataset. Threats are validated through both automated and human false-positive fail-safes before action is taken.
3. Threat Classification & Fraudcasting
Every detected threat is classified across 100+ attack types and enriched with attribution intelligence, connecting the infrastructure, hosting, and criminal patterns behind each attack to anticipate future campaigns before they launch.
4. Rapid Takedown
With a median phishing takedown time of just 1.9 hours, Netcraft ensures that threats are neutralised quickly, preventing potential harm to organisations and their customers. Netcraft's global relationships with hosting providers, registrars, and platform operators enable rapid removal at a scale no internal team can match.
5. Preemptive Domain Disruption (new in 2026)
Netcraft's Preemptive Domain Disruption is a predictive capability that proactively identifies criminal infrastructure before it is weaponised, stopping attacks before they go live and before the first victim is exposed.

This listing bills through a contract with two separate pricing dimensions you can choose based on what you protect. Employee detection is priced per executive, covering monitoring and takedown of impersonation profiles for high-profile individuals. Digital Risk Protection is priced per brand, covering detection and disruption across the wider external threat landscape. The two dimensions scale independently: employee detection grows with the number of executives you cover, while Digital Risk Protection grows with the number of brands. Each dimension uses standard per-unit pricing, and you can arrange custom pricing through a private offer.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one executive for the Employee detection dimension?
An executive is one high-profile individual you enroll for monitoring, such as a CEO or CFO. The service watches major social platforms for fake profiles impersonating that person and takes down impersonating profiles and linked email addresses. Each individual you cover counts as one unit.
What counts as one brand for the Digital Risk Protection dimension?
A brand is one company identity you enroll for protection. The service detects and disrupts threats across the clear, deep, and dark web, including website impersonation, fake stores, malware, and social media abuse. Each distinct brand you protect counts as one unit.
If I need both employee and brand coverage, how do the two dimensions combine on my bill?
The two dimensions bill independently. Employee detection charges per executive, and Digital Risk Protection charges per brand. You can buy either one alone or both together. Your total adds the per-executive count to the per-brand count. Each scales separately based on how many units you enroll.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can request screenshots from different locations and device types, and it returns a separate screenshot for each one. That makes it easy to confirm where the site is accessible and where it isn’t, without having to guess.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that I can’t find a dark mode option for the UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netcraft takes a lot off our SOC team’s plate by automatically removing phishing sites. It scans for keywords relevant to our industry, which helps us respond faster and reduces the time we spend chasing down threats.

Rapid Phishing Takedowns with Room for Improvement

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about Netcraft is the speed with which they can track attacks. Multiple times now, we've had reports of a malicious site from either internally or externally, and by the time we take a look at it, Netcraft has already initiated takedown of the site.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's some mismatch between the tracking in our portal view and what the API provides, especially in how attack IDs are grouped versus what's uploaded via the API into our logging systems. We've had struggles with matching them for tracking purposes to get accurate reporting for upper management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I leverage Netcraft to quickly take down brand impersonating phishing sites, protecting our credit union members from attacks.
