Overview
This product provides Checkmate integrated with CentOS 9 and delivered as an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) by ThinkCloud. The original upstream software description is retained below.
Checkmate on CentOS 9 with support by ThinkCloud provides a ready to use environment for running Checkmate, an open source and self hosted monitoring platform designed to track server uptime, response times, incidents, and infrastructure health through an intuitive web interface.
This solution is built on CentOS 9, a stable and enterprise ready Linux operating system, and comes with Checkmate preinstalled and configured to help users quickly deploy a reliable monitoring and status solution on AWS without complex manual setup. Checkmate supports real time monitoring, alerting, incident management, and visual dashboards, making it suitable for infrastructure monitoring, internal services, and public status pages.
Checkmate is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). The source code is publicly available, and users retain full rights to access, modify, and redistribute the software under the terms of the license. This AWS Marketplace offering focuses on simplified deployment, cloud readiness, and optional professional support services.
ThinkCloud offers optional support services, including installation guidance, configuration assistance, and troubleshooting, helping customers operate Checkmate reliably in AWS environments.

Software charges apply per running instance-hour. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS charges, such as storage for attached volumes. Those AWS fees are billed by AWS, not part of this software rate.
The software fee is tied to the instance type you run. Choosing a type with more CPU, memory, storage, or accelerators carries a higher hourly rate. The change takes effect when you launch the new type. You are not locked into one type; you pay the rate matching whatever you run.
