QueryPie DAC centralizes least-privilege database access, approval workflows, policy enforcement, and audit trails. Users can access approved databases through a web SQL editor or supported proxy connections.

    Overview

    Play video

QueryPie DAC is a self-managed database access control solution for governing access to databases across diverse environments. It centralizes database connections, users and groups, least-privilege permissions, and approval workflows in one administrative interface.

Users can access approved databases through the browser-based Web SQL Editor or supported proxy methods. Administrators can control SQL commands and data export, import, and clipboard actions; require approval or a reason for sensitive operations; and apply table- and column-level access restrictions, data masking, and sensitive data monitoring policies.

Real-time audit records help teams review permission changes, database connections, executed and running queries, DML snapshots, account locks, and policy events. QueryPie DAC is delivered as an AMI and runs in the buyer's AWS account. Available capabilities depend on the licensed version and configuration, and AWS infrastructure charges are billed separately.

    Highlights

    • Least-privilege database access: Centralize database connections, users, groups, permissions, and approval workflows in one administrative interface.
    • Policy-driven data protection: Control SQL and data-handling actions, restrict table and column access, mask data, and monitor sensitive data access.
    • Auditable operations: Review database connections, query activity, DML snapshots, permission changes, account locks, and policy events through searchable audit records.

Try this product free for 7 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.

     Info

    Dimensions summary

QueryPie DAC uses a single usage-based dimension billed by the hour on an m5.xlarge instance. You pay only for the hours the software runs, with no upfront commitment or fixed term. This pay-as-you-go structure ties your cost directly to how long you keep the instance active. QueryPie DAC provides database access control, letting you manage and audit access to sensitive data across cloud and on-premises environments. Because pricing is tied to runtime, your total cost scales with usage duration rather than user count or feature tiers.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

You pay for one m5.xlarge instance running QueryPie DAC, billed per hour. This instance type provides 4 virtual CPUs and 16 GB of memory. The rate covers the software license for each hour the instance runs, separate from any underlying AWS infrastructure charges.
Software charges accrue only while the m5.xlarge instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops the hourly software meter. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the QueryPie DAC license meters running time only.
No. This dimension bills by instance-hours, not by user count or connection volume. Your cost stays tied to how long the m5.xlarge instance runs. Adding users or managing more databases does not change the hourly software rate.

    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources.
