AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. All 22 dimensions bill the same software, so your choice sets the compute capacity behind it, not the features. The t3 sizes support burstable general-purpose workloads. The m3, m4, and m5 families cover fixed general-purpose compute, ranging from large up to 24xlarge, plus a bare-metal m5.metal option. Larger instance sizes carry higher hourly rates. Your total cost depends on which instance you select and how many hours you run it. This deployment adds security scanning and 24/7 support.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate cover, and what does it not include?
The hourly rate covers the software licence tied to your chosen EC2 instance type. Underlying AWS compute, storage, and network charges bill separately through AWS. The deployment adds continuous security scanning and 24/7 support, with a 30-minute response target and typical resolution within 48 hours.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly software charges apply while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing software charges. You may still pay AWS for attached storage on a stopped instance, but the software meters running hours only. Cost equals your instance's hourly rate multiplied by hours running.
Does choosing a larger instance type change the features I receive?
No. All 22 instance dimensions run the same Canopsis software. Your choice sets the compute capacity behind it, not the features. Larger sizes such as m5.24xlarge or m5.metal give more compute for heavier workloads. Smaller sizes like t3.large support lighter, burstable usage.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
