AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract listing has two dimensions that work together. The Commit dimension covers your committed usage under the contract term. You purchase a set amount of CrateDB Cloud usage upfront. The Usage dimension charges for any additional CrateDB Cloud usage beyond your commitment. Both are billed in units. This structure lets you commit to a baseline and pay separately for consumption above it. CrateDB Cloud is a fully managed database service, so operations like scaling and backups are handled for you within your usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one unit of CrateDB Cloud usage represent for billing?
Usage reflects the compute and storage your clusters consume, metered by the hour. A running cluster accrues charges based on its node count, vCPUs, RAM, and storage. Both the Commit and Usage dimensions draw from this same consumption metering, so units track your actual cloud resource use over time.
What happens if my consumption goes past my committed amount?
Once you use up your committed units, additional consumption bills through the Usage dimension. This charges automatically for any CrateDB Cloud usage beyond your commitment. You do not need to buy more commitment to keep running; the extra usage simply meters separately on your invoice.
Am I charged when my cluster scales up or down?
CrateDB Cloud meters the resources your cluster uses. Adding nodes or increasing compute raises your consumption, which draws down your committed units faster. Scaling down lowers consumption. Because scaling happens without downtime, your usage adjusts as the cluster rebalances automatically.
