RavenDB Cloud uses a single Pay-As-You-Go model. You pay only for the services you actually use, charged by the exact amount consumed. There are no fixed tiers or upfront commitments in this billing structure. Your cost scales directly with your usage, so it rises and falls with your actual consumption. You can adjust storage size and instance type as your needs change, and charges follow those choices. This usage-based approach means your bill reflects the resources you run, rather than a flat recurring fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Charges track the resources you run, mainly the machine instance and storage you select. You can deploy on machines ranging from 1 core and 0.5 GB RAM up to 64 cores, 256 GB RAM, with NVMe-backed drives. Your unit cost reflects the instance type and disk size you choose.
Cost follows your choices. Adjust storage size, instance type, and features through the RavenDB Cloud API, and charges shift with those settings. Turning features on or off, such as data archival, monitoring, or autoscaling, also affects what you pay under this usage-based model.
Free support is available for all customers. Paid Cloud Support packages run separately on 6- or 12-month terms and add options like 24/7 availability, email and phone support, and access to core developers. These support packages sit outside the Pay-As-You-Go usage charges for the service itself.

What do you like best about the product?
This is a well-designed database that includes change tracking, unit of work and other patterns that make a developer's job easier and faster. It offers a range of features that can help you eliminate the need for other products in your stack. For example, you can use data subscriptions in place of an external queue, which helps to reduce overall complexity and the number of moving parts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be great to support creation of databases and certificates through terraform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Modeling complex data structures and indexes that integrate information from multiple sources and perform various calculations is straightforward. Additionally, the ability to respond to changes through data subscriptions is very useful.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to get started. Integrates very nicely with C# .net applications. Fast and helpful customer support. Grat dashboard for debugging and monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smaller community than competition makes it harder to find solutions to problems on line, but the documentation is usually very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast access to data. We use RavenDB as the read-layer for our application.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use, fast and can be easily scaled in the cloud or on prem. The way how indexes are auto managed and all possibilities with indexes are providing many options for developers that are not possible or easy to achieve with other databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recent versions of RavenDB do not have a thing I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am building a microservice application that is hosted in Azure. RavenDB database is easy ro spin up and I very much rely on subscriptions feature for communication amon services.
