This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and maintenance by AskforCloud LLC.
AlmaLinux OS is an open-source, community-driven Linux operating system that fills the gap left by the discontinuation of the CentOS Linux stable release. AlmaLinux OS is a 1:1 binary compatible clone of RHEL guided and built by the community.
As a standalone, completely free OS, AlmaLinux OS. Ongoing development efforts are governed by the members of the community.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for AlmaLinux 9 running on Amazon EC2, with vendor support included. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each rate maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your cost follows the instance you choose. Hundreds of instance types are available, covering general purpose, compute, memory, storage, accelerated, and bare metal families in sizes from nano to metal. Larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates. You run only the instances you need and stop billing when you stop them.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one running EC2 instance of that type, billed per hour. The rate bundles AlmaLinux 9 software and vendor support for that instance. Each instance you launch bills separately. AWS compute, storage, and network charges apply on top and appear on your AWS bill.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. When you stop an instance, the software charge stops accruing. Underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes may still apply while the instance is stopped. You resume software charges when you start the instance again.
Each instance type maps to its own hourly rate, so your cost follows the type you run. Moving to a larger or more specialized instance changes the rate accordingly. There are no tiers or commitments, so the change takes effect as soon as you launch the new instance.
