You pay by the hour for this platform, which runs RabbitMQ on a Debian-based EC2 instance. Pricing is not a set of feature tiers. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, such as t2.micro, m5.large, or c5.9xlarge. Your rate depends on the instance you pick. Smaller instances offer fewer CPU and memory resources, while larger ones offer more. You choose the size that fits your workload. Billing runs hourly, so charges scale with how long each instance stays running.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for the hourly rate on each instance type?
Each dimension maps to one running EC2 instance preloaded with RabbitMQ on Debian. The instance type sets your CPU and memory. For example, t2.micro is a small shared instance, while c5.9xlarge offers more compute. You pay for the software plus that instance size per hour it runs.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Hourly software charges apply while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage fees for the attached disk may still apply while the instance is stopped. Billing meters running time only.
Can I switch to a different instance size later, and how does that affect billing?
You select one instance type at launch, and its hourly rate applies while it runs. To change size, you deploy or resize to another instance type. Your rate then follows the new instance's dimension. There is no upfront commitment, so switching does not lock you into a fee.
