AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract uses two pricing dimensions that work together. The OBU (Units) dimension covers platform access, onboarding, and standard support. The obu (Units) dimension tracks Outerbounds Consumption Units, which measure your actual usage of the platform. You buy platform access and support as one line, then add consumption units based on the compute and workloads you run. Consumption cost scales with how much you use, while the access dimension provides the baseline entitlement to the platform. Together they separate fixed platform entitlement from variable usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one Outerbounds Consumption Unit (obu) measure?
An obu tracks your actual platform usage, tied to the compute and workloads you run. The platform gives you access to GPUs and autoscaling compute through a managed compute layer. As you run more workloads, you consume more units, so this dimension scales with how much you use.
What happens to my consumption charges when I run fewer workloads?
Consumption charges track your actual usage. When you run fewer workloads, you consume fewer Outerbounds Consumption Units, so that portion of your cost drops. The OBU access dimension stays fixed regardless of usage, since it covers platform access, onboarding, and standard support.
Which dimension drives most of my bill — access or consumption?
The OBU (Units) access dimension is a fixed baseline covering platform access, onboarding, and standard support. The obu consumption dimension varies with your compute and workload volume. For heavy compute users, consumption typically dominates. Both dimensions bill together on the same contract.
