Overview
This Community and BYOL Edition offers all the features of the Pulse vTM and Pulse vWAF so you can use it in test, development & production environments but is limited to 10Mbps throughput & has a cluster limit of 4 instances. No support is available for the Community Edition. Resources and documentation are available via the Pulse user community. This high-performance Load Balancer & application delivery controller is designed to deliver fast, secure, reliable access to web sites & applications & offers HA via active-active deployment. To use this AMI to set up a BYOL License, please refer to the Getting Started Guide. The 18.3 version (or later) can be deployed on the nitro instance types. Older versions will also be limited to 1Mbps. Pulse vTM controls & optimizes end-user services by inspecting, transforming, prioritizing & routing application traffic, applying a range of optimization techniques to ensure that incoming requests are presented in the most appropriate manner to back-end servers. Pulse vWAF surrounds applications with a strong security perimeter that establishes a secure session identifier, proactively encrypts cookies & URLs & applies site usage enforcement. Signatures & ID tools secure common vulnerabilities. Receive real-time alerts & reports, application behavior for full audit tracking & logging. Test rulesets in shadow mode prior to enforcing behavior & improve performance by creating white & black lists. It helps meet PCI-DSS 6.6 requirements.

Instead, you choose from many AWS EC2 instance types, billed by the hour. The dimensions differ only by the compute size you select, ranging from small general-purpose instances to memory-, compute-, and storage-optimized options. Larger instances offer more processing power for heavier application traffic. Your hourly cost reflects the underlying AWS infrastructure you run, not the software itself. Note: In order to locate the randomly generated password required during the initial setup process, please right-click the AMI in the AWS console, select 'Monitor and troubleshoot' > 'Get System Log' and scroll to the bottom of the resulting System Log screen. You will find the password there,which is to be used for connecting to the instance via https://<publicDNS>:9090 for performing initial setup or for doing ssh i.e command line access to the instance.

Great way of deploying SteelApp to AWS

We use SteelApp TM within our own hosted infrastructure, and love it as a product. Being able to one-click deploy within AWS is great for a test/dev perspective, as well as hybrid cloud approaches.
A neat touch - the install provides user-data that you can use to launch additional instances and automatically add to a cluster, protected by an elastic IP address.
Very impressed - just hope that new owners Brocade keep the same levels of service!
