Overview
The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have established the OGVA program to provide the best discount and support for UK public sector organisations using AWS services. OGVA aims to help organisations optimise their cloud infrastructure, reduce costs, enhance security, and access funding for innovative projects.
Public sector organisations often face budgetary constraints and require cost-effective solutions to modernise their IT infrastructure and deliver better services to citizens. Additionally, they need to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high levels of security.
The OGVA program offers the best discount for using AWS services in the UK public sector. Organisations can qualify for the discount scheme (by taking out a three-year plan), and enjoy significant cost savings on AWS services. The program also provides additional benefits to support organisations at different stages of their cloud journey.
Discount tiers and funding opportunities
- Prime Tier (discount level) customers can access the discount scheme and up to $250K in AWS credits, subject to contract and business case requirements.
- Other customers can receive up to $25K in AWS credits, depending on their specific needs and business case requirements.
OGVA is available via the AWS Partner Network (APN), which is a global community that leverages AWS technologies, programs, expertise, and tools to build solutions and services for customers. Many of these partners can be found on CCS frameworks to facilitate compliant procurement routes. AWS customers benefit from working with partners to access skills, services and additional scale, often forming a strategic relationship to delivering modern digital public services on AWS.
OGVA is also available directly from your AWS account team.
