Join Dave Levy, vice president of worldwide public sector at Amazon Web Services (AWS), as he leads a discussion on the benefits and responsible deployment of generative AI and machine learning in accelerating the success of your organization. This keynote will provide insights on how organizations can gain agility, speed, and scalability by leveraging their data while maintaining full control and ownership.
Wendy Joos, chief data officer of Belgian Post (Bpost) Group, and Francesca Duri, chief technology officer at World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), will join Dave on stage to share their journeys towards artificial intelligence, data lake, and cloud transformation. The keynote will also feature a demonstration on how organizations can build generative applications to improve productivity using multiple large language models (LLMs) when one LLM may not suffice. Sessions are focused on providing an overview of AWS services and features, with the assumption that attendees are new to the topic.
Level 200: Intermediate
Sessions are focused on providing best practices, details of service features and demos with the assumption that attendees have introductory knowledge of the topics.
Level 300: Advanced
Sessions dive deeper into the selected topic. Presenters assume that the audience has some familiarity with the topic, but may or may not have direct experience .
Level 400: Expert
Sessions are for attendees who are deeply familiar with the topic, have implemented a solution on their own already, and are comfortable with how the technology works.

Session content is set between 100 foundational and 400 expert level to accommodate all levels of expertise. Attendees can choose between lecture-style presentations, interactive learning guided by AWS experts, customer keynotes, an expo hall, and much more.
Is there an age requirement to attend AWS Public Sector Symposium Brussels?
Yes. All attendees must be at least 18 years of age on the day they pick up their conference badge.
Is there a fee to attend the AWS Public Sector Symposium Brussels?
No, the AWS Public Sector Symposium Brussels is open to the public and free of charge to all attendees, including government employees. We always recommend that government employees check with their ethics or compliance officer to ensure their attendance at our events is compliant with local laws, statutes, or rules.

No, AWS does not reimburse or validate for parking or other travel costs.
What do I need for event check-in?
Please be prepared to show a physical copy of your valid, government-issued ID. The name on your ID must match your registered name.
Do I need my badge for every event function?
Yes. You are required to wear your valid conference badge and lanyard for all sessions and activities.
What is the AWS Code of Conduct?

Do you offer continuing education credits to attendees or a certificate of attendance?
AWS Public Sector Symposium Brussels does not offer continuing or professional education credits nor does AWS offer a certificate of attendance.
What is the dress code for attendees?
There is no dress code for attendees. Attendee attire varies including business casual, suits, hoodies and jeans. Please wear what you are comfortable in.
Is a cloakroom available the day of the event?
Yes. The cloakroom will open at 8:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM. It will be located directly behind the registration desk.
