AWS TechAction is a program designed to help nonprofits build and scale projects related to donor and member engagement on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This program provides AWS Promotional Credit and other enablement resources to help organizations enhance their fundraising and outreach initiatives.

The following criteria must be met to receive a credit from TechAction:

  • The organization must be a registered nonprofit or credit union in the United States with a valid employer identification number (EIN).

  • The organization must have an active AWS account. If you do not have an account, you can create one here.

  • The organization must complete the entire credit application providing a project description that outlines an intended use of the Promotional Credit for donor engagement or fundraising.

The AWS Nonprofit Credit program works in partnership with TechSoup to provide nonprofits $1,000 USD in AWS Promotional Credit once per year. This program helps qualified organizations get started using AWS, and it offers ongoing access to AWS Promotional Credit for any type of AWS usage with no AWS application required.

AWS TechAction provides up to $5,000 in Promotional Credit and enablement resources to nonprofits and credit unions using AWS for donor and member engagement. Organizations of all sizes and mission areas are encouraged to submit a short application and project description, and Promotional Credit is awarded to qualified organizations to help them build and scale their donor, member, and fundraising solutions.
