Updates to AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate (MLA-C02)
AWS Certification is updating the AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate exam. Registration for the beta version of the exam will be available in English starting September 1, 2026. The last day to take the current version of the exam (MLA-C01) in English will be September 28, 2026.

Today we’re excited to announce AWS SimuLearn learning plan badges, a new way for learners to showcase the hands-on cloud skills they’ve built. When a learner completes all assignments in a SimuLearn learning plan, they earn an official AWS badge that represents the work they completed: customer conversations, architecture design, hands-on building, and validated outcomes.
A new way to keep your AWS Certification current
Starting today, you can maintain your AWS Certification for an additional year by completing curated training and hands-on labs on AWS Skill Builder instead of retaking a full certification exam.
