AWS named Leader in the 2024 ISG Provider Lens report for Sovereign Cloud Infrastructure Services (EU)

For the second year in a row, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is named as a Leader in the Information Services Group (ISG) Provider Lens Quadrant report for Sovereign Cloud Infrastructure Services (EU), published on December 18, 2024. ISG is a leading global technology research, analyst, and advisory firm that serves as a trusted business partner to more than 900 clients. This ISG report evaluates 19 providers of sovereign cloud infrastructure services in the multi public cloud environment and examines how they address the key challenges that enterprise clients face in the European Union (EU). ISG defines Leaders as providers who represent innovative strength and competitive stability.

ISG rated AWS ahead of other leading cloud providers on both the competitive strength and portfolio attractiveness axes, with the highest score on portfolio attractiveness. Competitive strength was assessed on multiple factors, including degree of awareness, core competencies, and go-to-market strategy. Portfolio attractiveness was assessed on multiple factors, including scope of portfolio, portfolio quality, strategy and vision, and local characteristics.

According to the ISG Provider Lens report, “AWS develops various innovative solutions to meet different sovereignty needs, guided by inputs from regulators, cybersecurity experts, partners and customers. These solutions address factors such as location, workload sensitivity and industry standards.”

Earlier this year, we announced plans to invest €7.8 billion in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud by 2040, building on our long-term commitment to Europe and ongoing support of the region’s sovereignty needs. The AWS European Sovereign Cloud, which will be a new, independent cloud for Europe, is set to launch by the end of 2025.

Zum zweiten Mal in Folge wurde Amazon Web Services (AWS) im Provider Lens Quadrant-Bericht der Information Services Group (ISG) als führendes Unternehmen für Infrastrukturservices der souveränen Cloud (EU) eingestuft. Der Bericht wurde am 18. Dezember 2024 veröffentlicht. ISG ist ein weltweit führendes Unternehmen, das sich mit Technologie, Forschung, Analyse und Beratung befasst und für mehr als 900 Kunden einen vertrauenswürdigen Partner darstellt. In diesem ISG-Bericht werden 19 Anbieter von Infrastrukturservices der souveränen Cloud in der Multi-Public-Cloud-Umgebung bewertet und untersucht, wie diese die wichtigsten Herausforderungen angehen, mit denen Unternehmenskunden in der Europäischen Union (EU) konfrontiert sind. Für ISG sind führende Unternehmen Anbieter, die für Innovationsstärke und Wettbewerbsstabilität stehen.

ISG stufte AWS sowohl hinsichtlich der Attraktivität des Portfolios als auch hinsichtlich der Wettbewerbsstabilität als einen der führenden Cloud-Anbieter ein und vergab für die Attraktivität des AWS-Portfolios die Höchstpunktzahl. Die Wettbewerbsstabilität wurde anhand mehrerer Faktoren bewertet, darunter Bekanntheitsgrad, Kernkompetenzen und Markteinführungsstrategie. Dem ISG Provider Lens-Bericht zufolge „entwickelt AWS verschiedene innovative Lösungen, um den unterschiedlichen Souveränitätsanforderungen gerecht zu werden, und stützt sich dabei auf Eingaben, die von Aufsichtsbehörden, Cybersicherheitsexperten, Partnern und Kunden stammen. Amazon Web Services (AWS) est désigné leader dans le rapport Provider Lens Quadrant d’ISG (Information Services Group) pour les services d’infrastructure du cloud souverain (UE) pour la deuxième année consécutive,, publié le 18 décembre 2024. ISG, société mondiale de recherche, d’analyse et de conseil en technologie de premier plan, est le partenaire commercial de confiance de plus de 900 clients. Ce rapport de l’ISG évalue 19 fournisseurs de services d’infrastructure du cloud souverain dans l’environnement multi-cloud public et examine la manière dont ils relèvent les principaux défis auxquels sont confrontées les entreprises dans l’Union européenne (UE). L’ISG définit les leaders comme des fournisseurs qui incarnent la force d’innovation et la stabilité concurrentielle.

L’ISG a classé AWS devant les autres principaux fournisseurs de cloud en termes de compétitivité et d’attractivité du portefeuille, avec la note la plus élevée pour cette dernière. La compétitivité a été évaluée en fonction de plusieurs facteurs, notamment le degré de notoriété, les compétences de base et la stratégie de commercialisation. L’attractivité du portefeuille a également été évaluée selon plusieurs critères comme l’étendue et la qualité du portefeuille, la stratégie et la vision, ainsi que les caractéristiques locales.

Selon le rapport Provider Lens de l’ISG, « AWS développe diverses solutions innovantes pour répondre à différents besoins en matière de souveraineté, en s’appuyant sur les contributions des régulateurs, des experts en cybersécurité, des partenaires et des clients. Ces solutions tiennent compte de facteurs tels que la localisation, la sensibilité de la charge de travail et les normes du secteur. »
