Level Up Your End User Computing Skills: AWS Digital Course to Badge Success
We’re excited to announce a comprehensive digital enablement pathway for Amazon WorkSpaces: the AWS End User Computing Specialty Badge. Our AWS partners are integral in driving cloud innovation and delivering transformative solutions worldwide. But as End User Computing (EUC) evolves, your technical team needs the proper resources to validate and maintain expertise to effectively utilize Amazon WorkSpaces.

Why This Badge Matters for your Partner Organization
Your field teams face mounting pressure to demonstrate deep technical knowledge. They must stay current with rapidly evolving AWS services. Traditional training often misses the mark on practical customer engagement demands. It rarely provides formal recognition of expertise. This badge program solves both challenges with focused, role-specific training that validates capabilities.
Scale your technical community: Equip consultants, architects, and implementation specialists with standardized EUC and Amazon WorkSpaces knowledge. The structured curriculum ensures consistent expertise regardless of geography or team size. Every team member gains the same powerful foundation with the ability to re-visit and maintain their valuable skills.
Differentiate in competitive situations: Verified credentials signal your commitment to excellence when customers evaluate partners. Badge holders prove their proficiency across AWS EUC solutions. From fundamentals to advanced enterprise deployments, your team stands out.
Accelerate customer success: Developing foundational knowledge enables faster architecture implementation and confident troubleshooting. This expertise translates to improved customer satisfaction and expanded engagement opportunities.
The Comprehensive Learning Journey
The AWS End User Computing Specialty Badge comprises three progressive courses plus a comprehensive 60-question certification exam. Each course builds upon the previous one. Together they create a complete knowledge foundation from introductory concepts through advanced operational excellence.
Course 1: End User Computing on AWS – Introductory Course (60 minutes)
This foundational course transforms how your teams understand cloud-based desktop delivery, exploring the evolution from traditional PC management to modern digital workspaces. Participants learn the distinction between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Desktop as a Service (DaaS), learning when each approach best serves customer requirements. The curriculum examines real-world business use cases including remote workforce enablement, contractor access management, and seasonal workforce scaling, matching specific user personas with appropriate solutions. Deep dives into the Amazon WorkSpaces Family reveal the complete service portfolio: WorkSpaces Personal for persistent desktops, WorkSpaces Pools for dynamic allocation, WorkSpaces Applications for streaming, WorkSpaces Core for third-party VDI integration, and WorkSpaces Secure Browser for isolated web based environments. Critical licensing guidance shows how to bring existing Windows Desktop O/S and Microsoft 365 licenses to AWS, optimizing costs while maintaining compliance. for isolated web based environments. Course 2: End User Computing on AWS – Service Architecture (90 minutes)
This intermediate course provides the architectural depth solutions architects need for successful implementations, covering networking design, authentication frameworks, storage optimization, and management automation. Participants explore the technical differences in architecture between WorkSpaces Personal, Applications, Pools, and Core, learning when each deployment model best serves specific customer requirements.
The course examines identity and authentication options including Active Directory and SAML integration. Participants also explore single-session and multi-session deployment models for non-persistent instances. We explore the scaling configurations to optimize resource utilization for both Applications and Pools deployments. The curriculum concludes with WorkSpaces Core architecture, detailing integration with third-party VDI management solutions.
Course 3: End User Computing on AWS – Advanced Topics (60 minutes)
This advanced course addresses enterprise-scale deployment and operational excellence, examining seven Directory Services integration scenarios from AD Connector proxying to Microsoft Entra ID integration. Participants review network port requirements and WorkSpaces Applications AD integration options addressing authentication latency and connectivity considerations. The course covers network layer security controls along with protocol-layer customization via Group Policy (such as clipboard copy and USB peripheral controls). Operational excellence is also covered in depth with application deployment strategies, automated patch management, IT asset lifecycle integration, CloudWatch monitoring and cost optimization. The course explores the EUC Toolkit which provides open-source PowerShell-based management capabilities for bulk operations and reporting.
Earn Your Badge: The Certification Exam (90 minutes)
After completing all three courses, your team members demonstrate proficiency through a comprehensive 60-question certification exam. The assessment validates understanding across service selection, architectural design, security implementation, and operational management.
Candidates must achieve 80% or higher to earn the AWS End User Computing Specialty Badge. Credly issues badges within two weeks of passing.
