Transit virtual private cloud (VPC)

Communications service providers (CSPs) want secure transit routing between geographically dispersed VPCs and remote networks. A Transit VPC can act as a global network transit center.

Solutions

Cisco C8000v- Transit VPC with Transit Gateway

A C8000v pair is deployed in Transit VPC with VPN attachment to Transit Gateway (TGW) to provide VPN connectivity to various on-premise branch sites with greater control and functionality (QoS, Segmentation, encryption between the Transit VPC and branch sites, etc.). TGW is a regional network transit hub service provided by AWS to interconnect your VPCs in the same region in AWS cloud.

Highlights:

  • Enterprise-class VPN in AWS that's faster, cheaper, and more scalable than other VPN solutions. Familiar IOS-XE based VPN supports the same commands, tools, and logs as Cisco ISR and ASR platforms.
  • More secure, reliable, and cost effective than previous VPN solutions. Feature-rich: IPSec, DMVPN, FlexVPN, GETVPN, EZVPN, SSL VPN, Zone-Based Firewall, and more
