Great for small companies and extremely user friendly!
What do you like best about the product?
As someone with very little device management experience (former network engineer turned sales engineer at a startup), Kandji was a great way to get my feet wet with MDM, especially Mac MDM. I'd managed windows devices using SCCM many years ago in college, but have never managed apple devices of any sort. Kandji was easy to set up without any help and get fully configured. Their blueprints are very straight forward, and the library items are easily relatable to the settings which apply under each type. If you're not familiar with MDM, Kandji is a great place to start.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, my use case is very complicated. I manage devices that are meant to never be touched physically. There have been a few bugs that have caused issues (since resolved) and other features that I need in order to really manage my fleet of devices without ever having technicians - or even users - at the devices. I understand now why JAMF is king of Mac Management. I can't really call Jamf feature complete, but what I can say is that what it lacks in feature completeness, it makes up for in ease of use and low price point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji helped me manage my devices in a way that I could understand. The features it lacks are probably very edge case features. As I said, my devices are meant to be completely untouched by human hands.
Kandji is wonderful
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is easy to use, making changes don't require tons of steps, and support is easy to access
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an exclude feature where certain devices could be opted out of policies without creating a new blueprint
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji is easy to setup and manage. I like it much more than Jamf
Kandji has been key in securing and provisioning our end-user computing devices.
What do you like best about the product?
Setting and enforcing macOS update parameters fleet-wide alongside zero-touch deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing plan could be more flexible to offer additional tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security and control over end-point devices with profiles for specific employee groups - helping us achieve our compliance requirements.
I love Kandji! It has one of the best layouts, all the features you need and even more!
What do you like best about the product?
The number of updates we get with Kandji makes it super fun to use and easy to manage. The layout of Kandji's library system makes it easy to build multiple blueprints, and now with scoped tags, it will be a blast designing and implementing this into our infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the updates don't work very well, it takes a few tries to get it to work, and sometimes this doesn't work at all. They have told me they have a dedicated team working with apple to fix this so that's nice to know!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me as an IT to easily manage and deploy our Apple products with many tools. They manage updates with auto apps and support an Employee portal, so I don't have to be around for them to install applications already approved by our security team. The UI works very well and is super easy to use. The Library page functions like legos allowing me to pick and choose items that can apply to multiple or just one blueprint.
Easy to use and set up MDM solution for managing MacBooks and other Apple hardware
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use and highly customisable. Blueprints can be created for different device groups and there are out-of-the-box templates provided by Kandji that confirm to various security standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a huge amount to dislike, but if I had to nitpick, it would be that you should be able to set the "Self Service" and "Continuously Enforce" settings on the blueprint itself, not the library item. By setting it on the library item means you need to create duplicates if you want some blueprints to be enforced, which can lead to excess library items. But it's not a big deal really!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring our corporate devices are being kept to secure industry standards. Ease of rollout to new starters, especially when used with Apple Business Manager. The convenience of ensuring our teams have the right software installed, configured, and ready to go.
Excellent product
What do you like best about the product?
Seamless integration, onboarding, and updates
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides, it's been great. We had no issues with deployment and it's needed no troubleshooting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MDM and endpiont and endpoint management across our business
A powerful, low-maintenance MDM solution
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely easy to use, most valuable configurations are enabled by default.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only works for Apple devices.
The auto-update functionally is quirky sometimes.
The auto-update functionally is quirky sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji helps us manage our Apple devices, enabling compliance and security at scale.
Very simple to use and least admin overhead with expert support
What do you like best about the product?
simple to use with almost no admin overhead
What do you dislike about the product?
It could have had more pre-made libraries and autoapps. More granular settings of mac OS system preferences would have been very beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile Device Management. Deploying applications, Automated Device Enrollment, enforcing updates, and applying security hardening settings.
Powerful MDM Solution for Apple Macbooks
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is simple to use, has a good interface and was the better choice for our company when considering the complexities of the competing tool JAMF. Kandji has default blueprints out of the box for quick and easy configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kandji needs better reporting integrations and tools and the ability to integrate with SIEM tools to be able to more effectively monitor alerts that may be affecting our users and devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji is easier to use for a small IT team and easily integrates with automated device enrollment for a seamless experience. Remote operations such as filevault admininstration allows our team to easily support remote workers when passwords are lost or forgotten. Being able to remotely lock a device in case of theft or other concerns is beneficial.
Device management made easy
What do you like best about the product?
We had been looking for a platform that allowed us to deploy an MDM solution to manage our devices without needing weeks of setup and professional services to do expensive integrations. Within a few hours we were all set up and now have complete control and visibility of our estate. Kandji has performed so well for us, it's actually encouraged us to move more of our corporate devices to Mac.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had a really positive experience but I'd like to see more conflict resolution in the blueprints. Its easy to accidentally make 2 policies that conflict and send it in to tailspin. Kandji support are very good to support but i'd like to not be in that position to start with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Global management of our Apple mac estate with a small IT support team. We are a pretty small tech team supporting in excess of 400 users on a daily basis. Kandji makes like easy.
